Venice Project Center

Started by Worcester Polytechnic Institute near Boston in the USA they have over 25 years undertaken research in all aspects of Venetian history and life. The inspiration has been Prof. Fabio Carrera, a Venetian who has lived and worked in the USA for many years.

There is too much data to reproduce here, but if you want to know how many tourists arrive daily, where are the AirBNBs in the city’s districts and their average prices, the number of hotels and their occupancy rates, the daily arrivals in the city, the number of cruise ships in port today, the high tides, the number of complaints made or even the economics of the city for the state of Italy, then go to

“veniceprojectcenter.org”

The dashboard is fantastic and the historic De Barbari map can be manipulated to your heart’s desire.

This is a fantastic source of information for the city of Venice.
